Wavy Long Haircuts
Published on April 14th, 2011.
Wavy long hair? That is something some women are born naturally with. Long hair that cascades down in waves is something many women have as their hair lengthens.
For those who have straight, long hair and would like to opt for a wavy long haircut, there are several options as seen below:
Sometimes we have natural waves in our hair and do not know how to style them. Simple: keep it open. Just ensure that your hair is in good health before you go ahead and flaunt those natural waves. Long hair needs proper conditioning, shampooing and nourishment. The long locks need to be protected from sun damage and spilt ends. If you have taken care on all these points, then when the time comes, use a highlight to add a subtle contrast to those lovely locks as seen here. The highlight will accentuate those waves. Also, if you have straight hair, then go in for long layered cut and then get your hair stylized in waves as seen here.
Here is another example of natural wavy hair flaunted in an open way. The locks have a deep reddish brown hue, which may be natural or can be created by using hair colour. The colour adds luster and texture to the wavy hair and makes the look more glamorous.
How about long, black hair with highlights around the waves? Take a look at Megan Fox’s wavy hairstyle. The hair is kept long and lustrous black and the waves are accentuated by highlights. The top of the hair is volumised at the roots and brushed back to add a sexy look to the entire style.
If you are one of those lucky ones with long, blonde hair then flaunt it. If you have a long face, then go in for a middle parting and add waves towards the end of the hair. Add shine gel or anti frizz serum to add luster to those wavy tresses.

Latest Updos for Long Hair
Published on April 14th, 2011.
Are you looking for up do hair styles which are current and trendy? When it comes to hair up do styles, these rarely go out of fashion and the classic and elegant hairstyles live on.
Hair Updos take a long time to style and it is best to visit a professional hair salon to get the hair up do. Hair Updos are elaborate hairstyles which can take hours to do and it is best to do a hair up do only for special occasions where you have set apart a considerable amount of time to prepare yourself.
Hair Updos generally sweep the hair clean off the face, neck and shoulders and hence these are great hair styles where your facial features are highlighted along with your neck and shoulder and upper arms in case of off shoulder dresses. You would do well to tone up these body parts before that special day to get the maximum flattering look out of the hair Updos.
Take a look at the hair up do shown here. Mostly for long hair, these hair Updos specialize in braided hair. The first picture shows the hair braided and worn as a head band in front. The hair at the back may be made up in a bun. The second picture shows off a hair up do for curly hair. The tight perms give a curly texture to the hair which is tied back into a tight bun worn high on the head.
A modern updo hairstyle is one flaunted in the third picture. The hair has an edgy haircut with a long thin strand of hair left in the back. The shorter hair in front is braided and pulled into a bun while the singular long hair strand at the back is braided and allowed to hand loose. A very radical updo hairstyle indeed.
Then again, there is the feminine, traditional hair Updos as shown in the remaining two pictures. The hair can be worn braided in front like a wreath of hair; this has a very Roman feel to the hair up do style. And then again, a touch of a flowery accessory would lend a romantic image to a soft bun tied to the nape of the neck. Some loose tresses allowed hanging loose from the side of the head gives a sexy image to the hair up do style.

Top Hair Products for Long Hairs for Oval Faces
Published on April 14th, 2011.
If you have long hair and an oval face, then you have one of the most versatile face shapes which will allow you to keep any type of haircut.
Take for example the layered cut. This cut goes very well with oval face; you can keep the layers from chin length and below with the hair at the back kept longer. The edges of the layered hair are tapered and long, using a razor cut to achieve this effect. To keep the layered hair sleek and long, use an anti frizz cream on your hair. Then use a straightening iron to straighten out you hair strands, this will bring out the layered effect very well. After straightening, use shine serum to lock in moisture in your hair and add luster to your hair.
If you want to add curls to your hair, you need to use curling iron to achieve this effect. Use a curling iron on dry hair or use a paddle brush on damp hair and blow dry the hair. Let out the hair once it is completely dry. After you have achieved curls in all the places you desire, then run your fingers through your hair and settle the curls in the desired style. If you have curly hair then use of an anti frizz serum is must to keep the locks in good health.
If you would like to go in for the highlighting of your layered or shaggy haircut, then opt for a good brand of hair colour. You could achieve the highlighting at home but for best results, visit a salon. Choose the right hair clour that would suit your skin tone and contrasts nicely with your hair colour. Then decide on the coloured effect you want to achieve – either the whole hair is to be coloured or alternate strands or only the bangs. Accordingly the highlights will bring out the style in your hair.

Sleek Long Haircuts
Published on April 13th, 2011.
A popular trend these days, when it comes to haircut, is going the sleek, straight way. With long hair this is particularly a favourite choice of many. Paired with layered hair, the sleek long hair looks elegant and stylish and can be worn everyday with a little hair care.
Take for instance the style shown below. Here the hair is cut in layers and the edges are thinned and tapered using razor edge scissors. The top of the hair is given a blunt fringe which falls to the eyebrows. The entire hair is either straight or straightened. To care for such a haircut, you need to blow dry after washing the hair using a paddle brush. Then you could use an iron smoother cream on your hair before using a straightening iron to get the sleek effect. Finally, the hair is smoothened with a sealing serum to lock in the luster of the hair.
A bit of an extreme amongst the sleek long haircuts, the haircut shown below is similar to the above except that the layers are kept towards the ends and the edges are tapered while the front fringe is blunt, highlighting the sharp difference in the hair lengths. This is a typical shaggy haircut to flaunt with sleek hair. The hair care would be similar to the above; to maintain the vibrant red colour of the hair, colour care shampoo and conditioners are to be used.
Here is another instance of sleek long hair. Here the front is parted in the side and the hair is kept long and even; there are no bangs or layers cut in the hair. Instead, the natural sleek look is maintained and a vibrant haircolour is used to glamourise the long locks.
Of course, if you would like to retain a bit of wavy look in your hair then go in for a look as below. Here again the natural length of the hair is maintained and a curling iron on dry hair can be used mid length onwards to attain the light waves through the hair though the main look is of a sleek, straight hair.

Straight Long Haircuts
Published on April 13th, 2011.
When you have long hair, your options for stylish long hair are many. There are various haircuts that you can opt for and each will give a distinct look which you can wear.
The classic long haircut – This is the simplest of haircuts which consists of ensuring the split ends are taken care of and giving the back of the hair a wide u shape cut or a straight cut. This makes the hair look uniform at the back and helps the growth to be even.
Bangs with long hair – If you would like to add some variety to your long haircut, you can go in for bangs. Bangs can be long or short which then become a fringe hairstyle. While short, blunt fringes look great on certain face shapes, wide, side swept bangs are great for almost all face shapes and are great to flaunt with long hair.
Long hair with waves – to add variety to your straight, long hair, just ask the hair stylist to add some waves at the end or from mid length. The hair is gently curled back and it gives a great, classy effect.
Long hair with curls – If you would rather go in for curls, ask your hair stylist to curl your hair. From tight perms adorned all over your hair to loose, large curls towards the ends of your hair, you can have a great, sexy look with those curls.
Long hair with flicks – long hair can be cut in layers and the edges can be slightly flicked back to produce a great effect. Flicks are more defined on straight hair since the rest of the hair strands are straight while the edge is lightly flicked back with the help of a curling iron.
Long, layered hair – You can opt for the layered hairstyle with your long hair. This consists of uneven, tapered ends to your hair and the hair is also thinned down to produce a razor cut image. Combined with highlighting this hairstyle is a glamorous look to flaunt.

Summer Long Haircuts for Kids
Published on April 13th, 2011.
Summer time is time for play, long hours in the sun or water, time to get dirty and not have to worry about a thing in the world. Or so it seems to all kids. But to their mothers, it means giving them a haircut which would be easy to clean and maintain.
Take a look at some of the haircuts that kids can flaunt during the summer days:
The long bob haircut is a haircut which looks great on young girls. The long bob cut frames their pretty faces and can be held back with colourful headbands or pulled back in a pony tail without destroying the haircut. The hair easily falls back in place. However, if the hair is kept open most of the time, it would be prone to split ends and would need a regular trim.
Many girls who are keeping their hair long, can keep their hair and tie it back in interesting ways to allow for play with no hair hassles. As seen here, the long hair can be parted from the middle or the side; then the hair can be pulled back into a single or two pony tails on the sides. Again, the hair can be pulled back and partially secured with a fancy clip, allowing the hair at the back to fall free while the rest of the hair is kept free from the face.
For boys, long haircut looks cute but needs a little more care and attention than short hair. If the natural hair of your boy is wavy, you can allow it to grow long till the forehead is covered and trim the edges and allow the hair to fall into place, giving a cute look with those curly locks. If your boy has straight hair, he can flaunt a side parting and keep slightly long bangs in front which can be neatly combed to the side. Spiky hairdos are another option for fashionable young boys.
Finally, if there are formal or special events to go for, you could also curl up the locks of your pretty girl’s long hair and give an elegant look to her tresses as seen here.
